The advantages of shooting at a stylist's house:
- the props are on hand
- she's familiar with her kitchen
- she understands that your lights will take up a bit of space in the kitchen
- the 2 of you decide the pace of the shoot, not a chef
- no guests to consider

Chilled as it seems, the hard thing about shooting at Kanya's house is that she runs a very busy wedding cake business as well, and the poor woman had to see to her assistants running that part of the business while we knock out food shots as well. The plus side? Loads of Belgian chocolate shavings lying around waiting to be devoured.
